Lil Wayne has been upgraded to
stable condition and is even able to eat on his own now, according to sources
at L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai hospital.
The rapper is out of the Intensive
Care Unit for the first time in days after doctors determined his condition has
stabilized following multiple seizures.
Lil Wayne has moved into a regular
room and no longer needs intense, 24/7 treatment to ensure he'll make it, as he
did after his apparent sizzurp overdose.
Doctors pumped Wayne's stomach three
times after the rapper began experiencing severe and violent seizures on
Friday, when he was in critical condition.
Speculation regarding the severity
of his condition has run rampant.
His camp denied reports - mainly
from TMZ - that he was on death's door, but given his days-long ICU stint, it's
clear that he was and is in rough shape.
Whatever happened, it's part of a
pattern and certainly isn't good.
The 30-year-old has been walking around the
hospital floor on his own (accompanied by a team of bodyguards of course), and
eating on his own.
He could even be discharged from the
hospital in the near future ... hopefully when he is, he'll check into a
treatment facility to make sure he's okay.
